Summer Weddings



Spring is finally here, and it's our official kick-off of high peak wedding season. Summer is a very wonderful, exciting time to get married. If you love the outdoors, the warmth of the sun, the smell of fresh flowers, then Summer Wedding is for you! If you are having your wedding this Summer, here's an important checklist, to make sure that your event is an occasion to remember with style by your family and friends. This checklist will ensure that your planning is right on track, and if you are a summer bride, the following should have been done off your checklist by around this time.

*Choosing your Colors ~ summer colors should be fun, light, and vibrant. Highly recommended colors are: sky blue, sea green, sandy browns, and just about anything that you can think about summer or the beach. Whatever color of your choice, must be the one that you love, since it will need to be used all throughout the entire wedding.
*Choosing your Invitations ~ summer invitations must be given with great thought, since it will set the tone for your entire wedding, therefore using the color that match your wedding theme is a must. Highly recommended having a letterpress invitations. They are considered to be elegant, artistic and hand-crafted. Since they are eco-friendly, they use less ink, non toxins, and use much less paper in contrast to other forms of printing.
*Choosing the Bridal Party's Dresses ~ summer is obviously considered hot weather months, highly recommended that the bridal party dresses should be made of a light fabric, not too long or heavy material. Perfect season for a knee or calf length dresses. As a bride, you may even want to consider, the more acceptable practice or becoming to be a practical trend of allowing your bridesmaids to choose her own dress to suit her body type and preferences. That way she can wear the dress later to another occasion.
*Choosing your Location ~ summer locations are open for great options, not much to worry about the weather getting in the way. No matter if you want to get married in a church, or in a gazebo in the middle of the park, or on the beach. Be prepared of an option, in case of afternoon storms, as it's common during the summer season.
*Choosing your reception or food menu ~ summer menus are highly recommended keeping it light. Having to serve hors d'oeuvres is much easier to plan than the heavier meal. Although a full meal must be served for evening summer weddings. Keep it light by serving chicken or fish as main course, served with steamed vegetables and whole grain rice.
